With the rise in new COVID−19 cases globally, Indian authorities have commenced random checking of international passengers on arrival. Additional requirements apply to incoming passengers on all international flights from certain high-risk countries (China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Republic of Korea, Thailand and Japan). Among other formalities, travellers from these countries are required to submit a self-declaration form and upload a negative COVID−19 RT-PCR report (within 72 hours prior to departure) on the Air Suvidha portal. This will also apply to passengers transiting through India from these countries.
