Gabon's borders have closed, and flights have been cancelled until further notice. We've reviewed the travel advice for New Caledonia and continue to advise exercise normal safety precautions. A restricted swimming zone at Baie des Citrons in Noumea is open daily from 8:45am to 4pm. All other beaches in Noumea remain closed until 31 December (see 'Safety'). On 1 August local Amhara militia (Fano) took control of several areas of Lalibela in North Wollo Zone in Amhara Regional State.
