Foreign nationals without a residency permit can't travel to Taiwan at the moment. Foreign spouses and children of Taiwanese passport holders may apply to enter Taiwan. Other exceptions will be considered only on emergency or humanitarian grounds. There have been violent clashes in the north of Kosovo. Reconsider your need to travel to North Mitrovica, Leposavić, Zubin Potok and Zvečan . Cafes and restaurants in Kosovo are open with restricted hours and capacity. A negative COVID-19 test, proof of vaccination or recovery from the illness is required for access to indoor public venues, such as shopping centres, cafes and restaurants. Australia is now listed as a ‘high risk place’. If you're travelling from Australia, you can't enter Hong Kong unless you're a fully vaccinated Hong Kong resident. Entry conditions apply (see 'Travel'). You’ll be subject to 21 days of compulsory quarantine at a designated quarantine hotel on arrival, followed by 7 days of self-monitoring. You’ll also need to take several compulsory COVID-19 tests. Dual citizenship is no longer recognised in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region following the application of the Nationality Law of the People’s Republic of China (see ‘Local laws’). As previously advised, Hong Kong's National Security Law could be interpreted broadly and you could break the law without intending to. Japan has made significant changes to its entry requirements in response to the COVID-19 Omicron variant. You can’t enter Japan unless you’re a citizen or a resident. On 15 November the UK raised its terrorism threat level to severe (second-highest level) - meaning that an attack is highly likely. Be alert and follow the advice of local authorities (see 'Safety'). From 30 November you must self-isolate on arrival even if you're fully vaccinated. You must take a PCR test before the end of the second day and you can leave self-isolation if you test negative. Requirements for arriving in the UK depend on where you've been, including transits, in the 10 days before you arrive. The UK has a new international travel system which sets out entry requirements. The list of 'red' and 'rest of the world' countries can change. Simplified rules are in place for people recognised as fully vaccinated. You need to review the rules before travel. Penalties may apply if you don't follow measures. We advise: Exercise a high degree of caution in the UK due to the impacts of COVID-19.

Switzerland has tightened COVID-19 restrictions. If you're entering Switzerland from a country with a COVID-19 variant of concern (including Australia), you must present a negative test result and quarantine for 10 days. When entering Switzerland you must complete a Public Health Entry form prior to arrival (unless exempt). A COVID Certificate is needed to access indoor spaces such as restaurants, bars and museums. If you are 16 or older and have not been vaccinated or have recovered from COVID-19, you must provide a negative test result (PCR or Antigen) on arrival to Switzerland and four to seven days after arrival. You can travel to Belgium if you’re a citizen or resident of an EU/Schengen Area country or if you're travelling for an essential purpose. You can also travel to Belgium if you're resident in a third country considered safe by Belgium. Australia is on this list. You need to be vaccinated with an EU-approved vaccine, have a negative COVID-19 test less than 72 hours old, or proof of recovery from COVID-19. Travel to, or transit via, Belgium from a number of ‘very high risk’ countries is prohibited. Testing and self-isolation requirements may apply. See 'Travel'. If you've been issued with Australia’s International COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate, you can obtain a 30-day Belgian COVID Safe Ticket (CST) for everyday use in Belgium. From 1 December all travellers aged over 2 years of age must present dated evidence of a negative COVID-19 (PCR) test (with a QR Code) taken less than 48 hours before travel. Vaccinated travellers must also present proof of full vaccination. If you're not fully vaccinated, you must quarantine for 10 days in a government-approved hotel at your own cost. Fully vaccinated travellers aren't required to quarantine but if you show any COVID-19 symptoms, you should self-isolate and take a PCR test. All travellers may be subject to random COVID-19 rapid tests on arrival. A Tunisian vaccine pass is required for entry into public and private facilities and to enter cafes, restaurants, hotels and tourist establishments. The US has suspended entry and transit of certain travellers who have recently travelled to or reside in certain COVID-19 affected countries. If you're aged 18 and over you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof of vaccination to travel to the US by air, unless you're a US citizen, US permanent resident, or qualify for one of the exceptions to this requirement. Before travel, all travellers aged two or over, including US citizens and permanent residents, must provide evidence of a negative COVID-19 test, or proof that you've recovered from COVID-19 within the last 90 days. The French Government announced on 26 November the immediate suspension of arrivals from seven southern African countries, for a minimum of 48 hours. This includes travellers from South Africa, Lesotho, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Namibia and Eswatini due to 'the discovery of a new variant of the coronavirus of particular concern'.
