Brazil
From 30 March, foreign citizens won't be able to enter Brazil (see Travel). International air transit through Brazil remains possible in certain circumstances. Land and sea borders are also closed to people movement, with some limited exceptions.
If you’re in Brazil and you wish to leave, do so as soon as possible as departure flights are diminishing. Follow the Australian Embassy in Brasilia's social media accounts for regular updates on flight options for leaving Brazil. See Local contacts for links. If you can’t leave or prefer to stay in Brazil, make arrangements for an extended stay and take care to minimise your risk to COVID-19. Follow the advice of local authorities and stay in touch with family and friends so they know you’re safe and well.

We now advise you:
Do not travel to Brazil.
