We now advise all Australians not to travel overseas at this time including to Greece. If you’re already In Greece and wish to return to Australia, we recommend you do so as soon as possible by commercial means. Authorities have announced only three hotels will be open in major cities and one in each regional province. Bans are also in place for cruise ships and sailboats arriving into Greek ports. Since the entry ban of non-EU citizens, some airlines have been reducing flights to Greece. Suspensions are in place for gatherings of 10 persons or more in public spaces. Activities have been suspended at sporting venues, archaeological sites, museums, and other public sites. All educational facilities, theatres, cinemas, playgrounds, gyms, nightclubs, bars, restaurants, shops and shopping malls, and art venues are temporarily closed. Supermarkets, banks, pharmacies and medical centres remain open with restrictions on customer numbers. Other measures may be implemented or changed at short notice. Monitor the media for the latest developments and follow the advice of local authorities.
