India
India has introduced new entry measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Expect additional health screening on arrival, including disclosing your travel history. If you've travelled to mainland China, Iran or Japan on or since 1 February 2020, you'll be denied entry to India. You will also be refused entry if you have visited Italy or South Korea since travel restrictions were imposed, unless you have a new visa and a medical certificate, and there are compelling reasons for your travel to India. Monitor your health closely and follow the advice of local authorities. If you have symptoms of respiratory illness, contact your doctor before travelling. See Health for details.
We haven't changed our advice level:
Exercise a high degree of caution in India overall.
Higher levels apply in some parts of the country.
