Lebanon

In response to COVID-19, Lebanon has updated its border measures and announced a temporary closure of schools. Travel to or from China, Iran, Italy and South Korea is not permitted until further notice, except for Lebanese nationals and foreigners with residence permits who are exempt. Schools will be closed until 14 March. The Lebanese Government’s COVID-19 committee has also foreshadowed the future closure of other venues such as nightclubs, museums, cinemas, conference sites and sport clubs. This period may be extended. Expect additional screening at points of entry and follow the advice of local authorities.

Exercise a high degree of caution in Lebanon overall.

Higher levels apply in some parts of the country.
