Malaysia

We now advise all Australians to reconsider any non-essential overseas travel at this time, due to the health risks from the COVID-19 pandemic and the significant disruptions to global travel. This includes to Malaysia.

Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, foreign nationals who have visited certain destinations in the past 14 days will be denied entry to Malaysia. There are restrictions on travellers with some foreign passports (Australian passports are allowed). Additional travel restrictions are in place for Sabah and Sarawak in East Malaysia. See Travel.

We now advise you to:

Reconsider your need to travel to Malaysia overall.

Higher levels apply in some parts of the country.
