Malaysia
Malaysia has implemented a 'Movement Control Order', which includes an entry ban for all foreign tourists; the closure of non-essential government services, businesses, education and religious institutions; and the prohibition of large gatherings and mass movements. There are no direct flights from Malaysia to Australia at present, and options to return to Australia via transit hubs are rapidly disappearing. If you are seeking to return to Australia, keep checking with your airline or travel provider as the flight situation changes from day-to-day. If you remain in Malaysia, follow the advice of local authorities, make arrangements for a possible extended stay and take care to minimise your exposure to COVID-19. Stay in touch with family and friends so they know you’re safe. If you have Twitter or Facebook, follow @AusHCMalaysia or https://ift.tt/2WTlMdI or visit the Australian High Commission in Malaysia website . If you need urgent consular assistance, or to register with us, contact ahckl.consular@dfat.gov.au or +60 3 2146 5555 during business hours or call the 24-hour consular emergency helpline in Australia on +61 2 6261 3305.
We now advise you to:
Do not travel to Malaysia.
