Morocco
We now advise all Australians to reconsider any non-essential overseas travel at this time, due to the health risks from the COVID-19 pandemic and the significant disruptions to global travel. The Moroccan authorities have announced additional measures to prevent the spread of the virus. Expect health screenings on arrival. Public events have been cancelled. Schools and universities will be closed from 16 March. Air and maritime links to and from China, Italy, Spain, France, Portugal, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany have been suspended. Flights from and to Italy, Spain and France are banned from entering Morocco. Follow the advice of local authorities and check with the nearest embassy or consulate of Morocco for entry requirements.
We now advise you to:
Reconsider your need to travel to Morocco overall.
Higher levels apply in some parts of the country.
