Philippines
The Philippines has implement enhanced community quarantine (lockdown) for Luzon Island including Metro Manila until 14 April 2020 to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Only essential movement is permitted. From midnight 20 March 2020, Manila and Clark international airports will cease operations for the duration of the quarantine period. You should book travel immediately. If you can’t or don’t want to return to Australia, follow the advice of local authorities. Take care to minimise your risk of exposure to COVID-19 including by self-isolating. If you choose to stay, note our ability to provide consular assistance may be limited due to restrictions on movement and other services.
We have raised our level of advice for Philippines to reconsider your need to travel overall.
Higher levels of advice are in place for some parts of the country.
