Saudi Arabia

We now advise all Australians not to travel overseas at this time, due to the health risks from the COVID-19 pandemic and the significant disruptions to global travel. This includes to Saudi Arabia. If you’re already overseas and wish to return to Australia, we recommend you do so as soon as possible by commercial means.

Saudi Arabia has confirmed COVID-19 is present in the country. All flights to and from Saudi Arabia have been suspended for two weeks commencing 15 March. If you arrived in Saudi Arabia after 13 March, you are required to remain in home quarantine for 14 days from your date of entry into Saudi Arabia. Entry by land borders is restricted to commercial trucks only. Performing Umrah has been temporarily suspended for all pilgrims. Visiting the Prophet’s Mosque in Makkah has also been temporarily suspended. Contact your airline or travel provider, or your nearest Embassy of Saudi Arabia for the latest information.

We now advise you to:

Do not travel to Saudi Arabia.
