Switzerland
We now advise all Australians to reconsider any non-essential overseas travel at this time, due to the health risks from the COVID-19 pandemic and the significant disruptions to global travel. This includes to Switzerland.
Switzerland has confirmed cases of COVID-19 in nearly all cantons within the country. The Canton of Ticino is a high transmission area - some public and private venues have been directed to close and some restrictions are in place on public and private gatherings. Many public events across the country have been temporarily banned. Public health measures request people to self-isolate or self-quarantine in some circumstances (see Health for details). Monitor your health closely and follow the advice of local authorities.
