Options for departing Turkey are becoming increasingly limited. If you wish to leave, you should make arrangements to do so as soon as possible. Turkey is restricting entry for travellers who have been in a range of high-risk countries (not including Australia) and many flight bans have been announced. For the latest information contact the nearest embassy or consulate of Turkey and check with your airline. Restrictions may change at short notice. Self-isolation arrangements are in place for all other arrivals. Large scale events, including Anzac Day, have been cancelled. Public entertainment and recreation venues have been closed. If you remain in Turkey, follow the advice of local authorities, take care to protect yourself from exposure to COVID-19, ensure you have arrangements in place for an extended stay, and keep in contact with family and friends back home.
