We now advise all Australians not to travel overseas at this time, due to the health risks from the COVID-19 pandemic and the significant disruptions to global travel. This includes to Ukraine. If you’re already overseas and wish to return to Australia, we recommend you do so as soon as possible by commercial means.
From 16 March, all foreigners are banned from entering Ukraine unless you hold a residence permit. From 17 March, all flights, trains and buses to and from Ukraine are suspended. Schools, universities, cinemas, theatres, museums and entertainment centres have been closed and mass gatherings banned.
