Armenia has declared a State of Emergency until further notice. Under the emergency, outside travel is restricted to essential activities such as purchasing food and medication or to seek medical care. You're required to carry a document for permitted movement (see Travel) as well as your passport when traveling outside. Nonessential businesses and public transport are expected to remain closed for the duration of the emergency. Some flights have been cancelled and transit options to Australia are decreasing. If you're staying in Armenia, follow the advice of local authorities and minimise your risk of exposure to COVID-19. Stay in touch with family and friends so they know you're safe and well.
