Brunei Darussalam
Brunei won't allow entry or transit for short-term visitors until further notice. If you're sponsored by the Brunei Government or a registered company you can apply for an exemption. If you've been approved to enter you may have to pay for a COVID-19 swab test before arriving. Upon arrival, you'll have to undertake mandatory self-isolation for 14 days at a designated facility. You'll have to pay all costs. Long-term visitors currently in Brunei need the approval of the Brunei Prime Minister’s Office to leave Brunei. These restrictions can change at short notice. If you're staying in Brunei, follow the advice of local authorities and minimise your risk of exposure to COVID-19. Stay in touch with family and friends so they know you're safe and well. If you need urgent consular assistance call +61 2 6261 3305.
We now advise you to:
Do not travel to Brunei.
