Finland
The state of emergency in Finland has been extended until 13 May. You're not allowed to enter the country unless you're a permanent resident of Finland. If you display COVID-19 symptoms, you'll be quarantined in designated accommodation for 14 days. If you're returning to Australia from a third country, you can transit through Helsinki Airport, though you won’t be able to leave the transit area (you may be eligible for an exemption on arrival – see Travel). If you’re in Finland and wish to return to Australia, do so immediately as departure options are rapidly disappearing. If you remain in Finland, follow the advice of local authorities, make arrangements for an extended stay and seek a visa extension if required. Take care to minimise exposure to COVID-19, and stay in touch with family and friends so they know you're safe.
We now advise you:
Do not travel to Finland.
