Guyana has closed its airports and seaports to incoming passengers. This has reduced the availability of outgoing flights. Contact airlines, your travel agent or travel insurance provider to discuss options as soon as possible. There is a curfew in place. If you can't or don't want to leave Guyana, follow the advice of local authorities and minimise your risk of exposure to COVID-19. Stay in touch with family and friends so they know you're safe and well. Since elections on 2 March, there has been sporadic violence across the capital and eastern parts of Guyana.
