Philippines
The Philippines has implemented a lockdown and curfew to limit the spread of COVID-19. If you’re in the Philippines and wish to return to Australia, do so as soon as possible by commercial means. Options have become extremely limited and transit hubs have closed. Contact the Philippines Department of Tourism and airlines directly to determine available options. Qatar Airways and ANA are offering flights via other locations to Australia. If you remain, follow the advice of local authorities and minimise your risk of exposure to COVID-19. Stay in touch with family and friends so they know you're safe. If you need urgent consular assistance call +61 2 6261 3305.
The Australian Embassy has emailed Australians we know are in the Philippines with more detailed advice. See the Embassy website or Facebook page for the full text of the email and to subscribe to any further Embassy updates (see Travel).
