A State of Emergency is in place that restricts non-essential movement throughout Portugal due to COVID-19. Many businesses and services are closed. All travel to the EU and Schengen Area including Portugal is restricted for non-EU nationals. If you're in Portugal and want to return to Australia, contact your airline, travel agent or insurance company while commercial flights are still operating. If you're staying in Portugal, monitor local media and follow the advice of local authorities. Take care to minimise your risk of exposure to COVID-19 including by self-isolating.
