Somalia
Cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Somalia, including Somaliland. The Somali authorities have banned all international and domestic passenger flights, and imposed a daily curfew in Mogadishu from 8pm to 5am. Local authorities in Somaliland have announced measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, including restrictions on travel. There's an ongoing high threat of terrorism with attacks expected to continue. If you wish to leave Somalia, leave now if it is safe to do so. If you stay in Somalia, follow the advice of local authorities, make preparations for a possible extended stay and take care to protect yourself from exposure to COVID-19.
We haven't changed our level of advice:
Do not travel to Somalia due to the high risk of terrorist attack, kidnapping, armed conflict and violent crime.
