Switzerland
Switzerland has closed its borders for tourism. Unless you arrive from Liechtenstein or meet an exception, you won't be allowed to enter. You can still transit through Switzerland, unless border authorities suspect you won't be able to leave. Some secondary border crossings have reopened on a time-limited basis. This is in addition to the main border crossings that were already open. From 11 May entry restrictions for work purposes will be gradually eased and family reunification in Switzerland will become possible for Swiss and EU citizens. Shops, restaurants, markets, museums and libraries will be allowed to reopen. Public transport will resume standard operations. The ban on leaving Switzerland to shop in neighbouring countries remains in place. You'll still have to comply with strict hygiene and social distancing rules.
We advise you:
Do not travel to Switzerland.
