Finland

On 4 May the Finnish Government announced that some COVID-19 restrictions will be lifted in a phased manner, though a state of emergency will remain in effect. You're not allowed to enter the country unless you're a permanent resident of Finland. If you display COVID-19 symptoms, you'll be quarantined in designated accommodation for 14 days. If you're returning to Australia from a third country, you can transit through Helsinki Airport. If you’re in Finland and wish to return to Australia, we recommend you do so without delay. If you're staying in Finland, follow the advice of local authorities, make arrangements for an extended stay and seek a visa extension if required.

We now advise you:

Do not travel to Finland.
