Finland
The Finnish Government is lifting some COVID-19 restrictions in a phased manner, though a state of emergency remains in effect. You can only enter Finland if you're a returning resident or if you're travelling from within the Schengen Area and entering Finland for employment or other essential reasons. If you're returning to Australia from a third country, you can transit through Helsinki Airport. If you're staying in Finland, follow the advice of local authorities, make arrangements for an extended stay and seek a visa extension if required. Follow the Australian Embassy in Stockholm social media accounts for regular updates on flight options for leaving Finland. See Local contacts for links.
We now advise you:
Do not travel to Finland.
