Greece
If you're in Greece and wish to return to Australia, we recommend you do so as soon as possible. Many airlines have suspended flights and some airports are closed. COVID-19 tests and 14 days quarantine are mandatory upon arrival by air in Greece. New health and hygiene protocols have been announced for air, road, train and sea travel in Greece (see Travel). Social distancing rules of 1.5m are in place for all indoor and outdoor public spaces. Masks are mandatory when travelling on transport and when in shops, malls, medical centres and some restaurant/cafes and tourist sites. Travel within mainland Greece, Crete and Evia is allowed. From 25 May travel to the islands will be permitted. A pre-boarding health declaration questionnaire is mandatory to travel by ferry. Greece has suspended entry into the country for all non-EU citizens until 15 June.
We advise you:
Do not travel to Greece.
