As of 4 May, travel within the same region for work, health reasons, emergencies, or visits to immediate family members or relatives is allowed. You must follow social distancing protocols (use of face coverings/protective masks and maintain a distance of at least one metre between people). Movement between regions isn't allowed unless for valid work purposes, health reasons, emergencies or if returning to one’s residence. You're able to travel across regions to an airport if you're returning to Australia. Self-declaration forms are still required for all movement. If you're staying in Italy, follow the advice of local authorities and minimise your risk of exposure to COVID-19. Stay in touch with family and friends so they know you're safe and well.
