Mozambique

Terrorism is a threat in Mozambique. Terrorists are likely to target westerners and western interests, particularly in Cabo Delgado province. To limit the spread of COVID-19, Mozambique has also declared a state of emergency. All public gatherings are banned. Movement is restricted within the country and at border entries. International flights to and from Mozambique are currently suspended, although domestic flights are still operating. If, despite our advice, you travel to Mozambique, you'll be required to self-quarantine for 14 days. If you're staying in Mozambique, follow the advice of local authorities and minimise your risk of exposure to COVID-19. Our ability to provide consular assistance may be limited due to the state of emergency. Follow the Australian High Commission’s website and social media for updates, and register with the High Commission at https://ift.tt/2L1CIHW.

We now advise you:

Do not travel to Mozambique.
