Niger

A state of emergency is in place. All international passenger flights are suspended and all land borders are closed. Travel into and out of Niamey is prohibited and roads are closed. There's a national curfew from 9pm to 5am. Schools, bars, cinemas and many other public places are closed. Gatherings of more than 50 people are banned. If you're remaining in Niger, follow the advice of local authorities and take care to protect yourself from exposure to COVID-19. Ensure you have arrangements in place for an extended stay, and keep in contact with family and friends back home.

We continue to advise:

Do not travel to Niger due to the high threat of kidnapping, terrorist attack, crime and the unpredictable security environment.
