Niger
A state of emergency is in place. All international passenger flights are suspended and all land borders are closed. If you arrive in Niger you're required to enter quarantine which may be in a government-designated facility. Travel into and out of Niamey is prohibited and roads are closed. You must wear a face mask in public places, markets, and on public transport in Niamey. Schools, bars, cinemas and many other public places are closed. Gatherings of more than 50 people are banned.
We continue to advise:
Do not travel to Niger due to the high threat of kidnapping, terrorist attack, crime and the unpredictable security environment.
