North Macedonia
North Macedonia remains under a State of Emergency, however the nationwide curfew has lifted. All international airports remain closed and land borders are closed to most foreigners. Some exemptions may apply. If you're permitted to enter, you'll need a medical certificate confirming a negative PCR test issued within 72 hours of your arrival to allow you to quarantine at home. If you don't have a medical certificate when you arrive, you'll be sent to mandatory Government-controlled quarantine. Self-isolation may be required for 14 days or more depending on the COVID-19 risk level of the country you're coming from. North Macedonia has extended visas and stay permits until 31 August if yours expired during the State of Emergency. You must wear a mask if you’re in a public space where social distancing can’t be maintained. You can be fined for non-compliance. This information may change at short notice. Monitor local media for updates.
We advise you:
Do not travel to North Macedonia.
