From 30 May, scheduled outbound commercial flights may now operate without requiring special permission. Restrictions on inbound flights remain in place. Some land borders have reopened, but may close without notice. Check if land borders are open before travelling. If you wish to leave Pakistan, contact your airline or travel agent as soon as possible for flight options. Follow the Australian Embassy social media accounts for updates (see Local Contacts). If you remain in Pakistan, monitor local media and follow the advice of local authorities. Take care to protect yourself from exposure to COVID-19, and keep in contact with family and friends back home.
