If you're in Romania and wish to return to Australia, we recommend you do so as soon as possible while commercial options remain available. Many airlines have suspended flights and some airports are still closed. There's a State of Alert in Romania. Most restrictions remain in place. Forms are no longer be required to leave the house. Those who want to leave their home town will still be required to obtain the permission of the local authorities to travel to a larger metropolitan area. Stores with a street entrance will be allowed to open, as well as beauty salons and some museums. Municipalities will also begin to open public parks. Wearing face masks in indoor public spaces and on public transport is still mandatory in Romania. Social distancing of 1.5m is mandatory. Only Romanian and EU citizens, their family members, and those with valid residency permits can enter Romania.
