United Kingdom

To help Australians get home, limited flights are currently available from London to Australia. Check Qantas and other airlines to find available seats. If you're in the UK and wish to leave, do so as soon as possible while commercial options are available. Follow the Australian High Commission on social media for regular updates on flights leaving the UK. If you plan to transit through the UK on your way back to Australia, you may need to show proof that you have an onward flight booked. You may also need proof of accommodation for any short-term stay. Key transit hubs, including the UAE (Dubai and Abu Dhabi), Hong Kong and Singapore, have suspended transit flights. Check your route with your airline or travel agent.

The UK remains in lockdown, although on 11 May the UK Government announced some very limited relaxations. However, the basic rule – that people should stay at home except in the limited circumstances specified by the Prime Minister – remains in place. For more information see: https://ift.tt/33DgbKe. The devolved governments of Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales continue to direct citizens and visitors to follow their own public health guidance (see Travel for links to guidance). Police have powers to enforce these rules.

We advise you:

Do not travel to the United Kingdom.
