North Macedonia
A State of Emergency is in place. International airports remain closed. Land borders are closed to most foreigners. Some exemptions apply. If you're permitted to enter, you'll need a certificate confirming a negative PCR test issued within 72 hours of your arrival to allow you to quarantine at home. If you don't have a certificate when you arrive, you'll be sent to mandatory quarantine. Quarantine periods vary depending on the COVID-19 risk level of the country you're coming from. Transits through North Macedonia are now possible. Before entering North Macedonia, make sure you can enter the country you are transiting to. Visas and stay permits which expired during the State of Emergency are extended until 31 August. This information may change at short notice. Monitor local media for updates.
We advise you:
Do not travel to North Macedonia.
