Spain
Spanish authorities have lifted the State of Alarm that was in place due to the COVID−19 outbreak. Spain’s borders have reopened to travellers arriving from European Union and Schengen-area countries, with the exception of Portugal. Arrivals from Portugal will be permitted from 1 July. From 21 June, there is no longer a mandatory quarantine period, although health checks will be conducted on arrival. Restrictions on travel between regions in Spain have also lifted. If you're in Spain and want to return to Australia, check your route carefully with your airline as a number of key transit hubs are closed or severely restricted. Follow the Australian Embassy social media accounts for regular updates (see Local contacts for links).
We advise you:
Do not travel to Spain.
