Timor-Leste
There are no active COVID-19 cases in Timor-Leste, but cases have previously been detected. Testing and infection control facilities are limited. Critical care for Australians who might become seriously ill is likely to be significantly below the standards available in Australia. While there is no longer a State of Emergency, the situation could change quickly, and border restrictions could be put in place with little notice. With very limited exceptions, foreigners won't be allowed to enter Timor-Leste. All travellers entering Timor-Leste will be subject to 14 days mandatory quarantine at a location determined by local authorities, likely at their own expense.
We now advise you:
Do not travel to Timor-Leste.
