Commercial flights are limited, however options to return to Australia via the USA and Europe are available. Movement restrictions, including curfews, vary between different areas based on a 'traffic light' system, and you should check the rules for the area you're in. Essential services continue to operate, but expect long queues and delays. Our ability to provide consular services in Ecuador remains limited. If you travel to Ecuador despite our advice, you'll need proof of a negative COVID-19 test (PCR) taken in the 10 days before you arrive, or take a COVID-19 test on arrival and isolate. Rapid-result tests will not be accepted.
