Commercial flights leaving El Salvador are gradually resuming. Book directly with the airlines and arrive at the airport early. If you're departing El Salvador on a United Airlines humanitarian flight (available until 17 August 2020), you'll need an authorisation issued by the US Embassy to board the flight. The Australian Embassy in Mexico can help you get this authorisation. Advise us as early as possible and see 'Travel' for details, including links. If you're staying in El Salvador, follow the advice of local authorities, maintain social distance and be aware of movement restrictions. You must wear a face mask at all times when you leave your home or accommodation.
