South Africa
Borders are closed and international travel is prohibited. South Africa is at 'Alert Level 2' of its COVID-19 response. There is a curfew from 10pm to 4am. Gatherings are limited to a maximum of 50 people. You're allowed to travel between provinces for any reason and hotels and lodges are open for travellers. Parks, beaches and nature reserves are open. The sale of alcohol and tobacco is permitted. You must wear a cloth mask at all times when you're out in public. Register with the Australian High Commission, and follow the High Commission's website and social media for updates (see Local Contacts).
We advise:
Do not travel to South Africa.
