COVID−19 control measures are in place throughout the country. On 9 October 2020, a State of Alarm was declared in the region of Madrid for an initial period of 15 days. Measures include the restriction of movement to and from the region of Madrid. Barajas airport remains open for travel with a valid purpose under the State of Alarm. Further restrictions may be implemented at short notice. Social distancing and other health-related measures, including the use of face masks, vary by region. You can be fined if you don't comply. Follow the advice of local authorities.
