You cannot travel to Japan as a tourist but you may be able to enter for study, work or to reunite with family, or if you have a valid Japanese residence card and re-entry permit. You'll need to self-isolate for 14 days and must not use public transport (including taxis) to travel from the airport to your residence or hotel. Ask family or friends to pick you up from the airport or pre-arrange airport pick-up private transfer services. Flights to Australia are limited and flight schedules may change at short notice. Monitor media and follow the advice of local authorities.
