You can't travel to Japan as a tourist but you may be able to enter for study, work or to reunite with family, or if you've a valid Japanese residence card and re-entry permit. If you've visited Australia in the past 14 days, you'll need to undergo a COVID-19 test on arrival. You'll also need to self-isolate for 14 days and must not use public transport (including taxis) to travel from the airport. Ask family or friends to pick you up from the airport or pre-arrange airport pick-up private transfer services. Flights to Australia are limited and flight schedules may change at short notice. Monitor media and follow the advice of local authorities.
