Protests and demonstrations have occurred across New Caledonia. Transport has been disrupted and road blockages are in place, especially in the Greater Noumea area. Access to supermarkets and petrol stations may also be affected. Avoid demonstrations, public gatherings and roadblocks due to the ongoing potential for violence. Follow the instructions of local authorities. Monitor local media for updates (see ‘Safety’).
