New measures to limit the spread of COVID-19 are in place between 22 December 2020 and 22 January 2021. Public events are banned and restrictions apply to public and private gatherings. Access to retail outlets is restricted. Restaurants, sporting areas and public institutions are closed in some cantons. Strict hygiene and social distancing rules remain in place, including the mandatory wearing of masks. There may be additional requirements that apply, depending on the canton you're in (See 'Travel').
