Chad
Political gatherings and demonstrations are likely to take place and may turn violent before and after the presidential election on 11 April. Avoid all election-related or political events and gatherings. There are limited commercial flights into and from N'Djamena airport. If you travel to Chad, you'll need to show a negative COVID-19 test taken within the last 72 hours. On arrival, you'll have to surrender your passport to authorities while you maintain a period of self-isolation. You must wear a face mask when outdoors.
We continue to advise:
Do not travel to Chad due to:
- the significant risk of terrorist attack
- the health risks from the COVID-19 pandemic and the significant disruptions to global travel.
