Hong Kong
From 9 April 2021, travellers entering Hong Kong who have stayed only in Australia or other designated low risk areas in the 21 days prior to their arrival will only have to undertake a 14-day compulsory quarantine in a 'Government Designated Hotel’. This will be followed by seven days of self-monitoring and a compulsory COVID-19 test on the 19th day. The 21-day compulsory quarantine requirement remains in place for most other places outside China (see ‘Travel’).
Dual citizenship is no longer recognised in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region following the application of the Nationality Law of the People’s Republic of China (see ‘Local laws’). As previously advised, Hong Kong's National Security Law could be interpreted broadly and you could break the law without intending to. If you’re concerned about the new law, reconsider your need to remain in Hong Kong (see 'Local laws').

We continue to advise:
Do not travel to Hong Kong due to the health risks from the COVID-19 pandemic and the significant disruptions to global travel.
