Mongolia

Due to the surge in cases of COVID-19, the Government of Mongolia has imposed strict lockdown measures to all activities and business with the exception of essential services (see ‘Health’). Limited charter flights operate, but all commercial international and domestic flights remain suspended. You must present a negative COVID-19 (PCR) test result taken within 72 hours of arrival and quarantine on arrival in a hotel for 7 days at your own expense. You may be exempt from quarantine if you’ve received a full course of COVID-19 vaccine 14 days prior to arrival, or can provide medical proof you have recovered from COVID-19. Movement between Ulaanbaatar and the provinces is restricted. Follow the advice of local authorities.

We continue to advise:

Do not travel to Mongolia due to the health risks from the COVID-19 pandemic and the significant disruptions to global travel.
