Madagascar
Madagascar has implemented a nationwide Health State of Emergency. International travel to Madagascar, private charter flights and all domestic flights are suspended. You must wear a face mask in public and follow social distancing regulations. There are restrictions on social, sporting and religious gatherings. Schools and universities are closed in many regions. Some regions have been placed in lockdown; this includes Analamanga (including the capital Antananarivo) with a curfew in place and restrictions on social activities. Road travel to these regions is forbidden. Analamanga region has further restrictions on Saturdays and Sundays.
We continue to advise:
Do not travel to Madagascar due to the health risks from the COVID-19 pandemic and the significant disruptions to global travel.
