Iceland

Iceland's borders are only open to travellers from EU/EEA and Schengen states, as well as certain approved countries, including Australia. If you're travelling to Iceland you must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 (PCR) test taken no more than 72 hours before departing, unless you're fully vaccinated or have been previously infected with COVID-19. Upon arrival in Iceland, you're required to be tested. If you're not vaccinated or don't have proof that you have previously been infected with COVID-19, you must take two COVID-19 tests, separated by five days’ quarantine until the results of the second test are known. If you're vaccinated, you'll only be required to have one test on arrival and enter quarantine until the result of this test is known. Children born in 2005 or later must also be tested upon arrival in Iceland, but are exempt from the requirement to take a PCR test prior to arriving in Iceland. Transit passengers who do not leave the terminal facilities are exempt from testing and quarantine requirements.

We continue to advise:

Do not travel to Iceland due to the health risks from the COVID-19 pandemic and the significant disruptions to global travel.
